Aug. 11, 2010 Source: Agri Marketing magazine According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers' monthly "Flash Report," the sales of all tractors in the U.S. for July 2010 were down 3.4% compared to the same month last year. For the year 2010, a total of 101,238 tractors were sold, which compares to 99,698 sold through July 2009. For the month, two-wheel-drive smaller tractors (Under 40 HP) were down 5.4%, and 40 & under 100 HP were up 3.1%. Sales of two-wheel-drive 100+ HP were down 11.2% from last year, and four-wheel-drive tractors were down 1.7% for the month. For the year 2010, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (Under 40 HP) were up 4.5% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 6.5%. Sales of two-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 5.2%, while four-wheel-drive tractors were up 19.3% for the year. Combine sales were up 4.1% for the month. Sales of combines for the year 2010 totaled 5,009, even with the same period in 2009. Tweet |
