Six university students participated in the January 2017 Farm Foundation Round Table meeting as Farm Foundation Cultivators.

"The Cultivator program is an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students in food and agriculture to interact with the diversity of agricultural and food system leaders who are members of the Round Table," explains Farm Foundation President Constance Cullman. "It is also an opportunity for Round Table members to engage with the next generation of industry leaders."

The January 2017 Class of Cultivators were:
Crystal Conner, University of Florida,
Rice Klauke, West Virginia University,
Krystal Helm, West Virginia University,
Ethan Snyder, University of Kentucky,
Joseph Stefenoni, Oklahoma State University, and
Coleman Stivers, University of Kentucky

Students are nominated by their respective Deans, with final selection made by a committee of Round Table members. In addition to participating in meeting sessions, each student presents a summary of his/her of professional interest. CHS Foundation provided initial funding to launch the program, which is now being funded by support from Round Table members and their companies. To date, 48 students have participated in the program.
