Keeping up with the fast pace of the UAV industry is tough. With so much new technology coming to the market, understanding how to use your UAV and maintain it can be tough. Earlier in 2017, Crop Copter launched First Flight, an initiative to help educate and provide resources to producers. We have taken our commitment to the customer one step further.

According to Matt Barnard, founder and CEO of Crop Copter, "users in the industry have a desire for more formal training." Precision Ag companies have done an excellent job with personalized training on their technology and we needed to follow suit."

Crop Copter surveyed customers to understand what additional resources were desired. From our findings, Crop Copter Cares was launched in March of 2017. For a small fee, Crop Copter customers can have personalized training sessions that range from general use, maintenance, troubleshooting, Part 107 education, and data evaluation.

These customized sessions allow for users to have the utmost confidence in their equipment and abilities to operate their UAV. "We have been seeing more and more pressure from the internet and electronic stores for entry level UAVs," said Tom King, Co-owner and Director of Customer Relations. "Although the current UAV technology is very easy to use, we are seeing more and more users want additional training and industry specific uses as well as help getting started," added King.

Besides additional training, Crop Copter also wanted to give users and opportunity to purchase an additional protection plan for their UAV purchase. Crop Copter Cares will allow users the ability to purchase a no hassle incident plan on all hardware technology that Crop Copter supports.

Each model will have a variance in price, but all will be included in the program. "There are some protection programs that are brand specific in the industry, but no company is offering a protection plan across multiple brands," said King. "We are committed to the best experience a customer could have with UAV technology. Crop Copter Cares is just one more offering to give current or future customers piece of mind with their purchase. If there is an unfortunate incident, we can help get that user going again for no additional cost once enrolled."
