THE PASSING OF DON EVASHENKO
Agri Marketing magazine reports:

Don Evanshenko, Chestefield, MO, passed away last Friday. He was 77.

He was raised on a farm near Voltaire, ND, and graduated from North Dakota State University. He was a state FFA officer and a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity.

He began his career with Dakota Farmer magazine in Ad Sales and eventually was promoted to Publisher.

When Webb Publishing acquired that magazine he moved to St. Louis as Publisher of Soybean Digest magazine when it was owned by the American Soybean Association.

Following Soybean Digest's sale to Webb Publishing (now Penton Agriculture) he joined Doane Agricultural Services Co. as Publisher of Agri Marketing magazine.

He then joined Drake & Associations where he managed the Christmas Tree Association and Agricultural Publishers Association before retiring in 2006.

Don is survive by his wife, Janice, four adult children, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Service arrangements are pending and expected to be held in the St. Louis area next month.
