BrownfieldAgNews reports:

As Indianapolis prepares for a sea of blue and gold, Riley Pagett, National FFA President says he remembers his thoughts about his first National FFA Convention, and he hopes other members have a similar experience.

Pagett remembers thinking convention was the greatest experience of his life and how lucky he felt to be a part of something so huge.

He says he hopes members everywhere leave Indianapolis feeling blessed that they had the opportunity to be a part of THE National FFA Convention.

Pagett says one of the highlights of the convention is the career fair and the doors it can open for FFA members in the future.

This year, he says, they are putting the career booths in career clusters so students can go to the career fair with an idea in mind of what they want to do and may enjoy some day. Pagett says this way attendees can visit that area and find their specific interest.

He notes it is very important for students to take advantage of this opportunity because companies want to hire employees with the skill sets National FFA members obtain through their participation in the organization.

He says the National FFA Convention affords great opportunities for members to do something more. Pagett says during convention students can get involved, network with other members and get out into the community and give back to a city that provides so much during the National FFA Convention.

Pagett says the goal of the national officer team is to put together an experience that people will never forget. The National FFA Convention is in Indianapolis October 19 through October 22.
