Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) reports:

September 13 is the deadline to submit newly introduced products for the annual AE50 Awards, sponsored by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE).

To qualify for an AE50 Award, products must have first been made available for purchase or ordering during the 2012 calendar year. AE50 Awards will be presented at ASABE's annual Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference (AETC), which will be held January 28-30, 2013, in conjunction with AG CONNECT Expo & Summit in Kansas City, Missouri.

Companies winning AE50 Awards will receive:

A personalized, engraved plaque

An introduction of the product including a photo in a special 2013 AE50 issue of Resource magazine and ASABE Website

Five complimentary copies of this special issue of Resource

Winners will be formally presented at the AETC conference and may be asked to make a new product presentation

New with this edition of the AE50 Awards are Gold and Silver innovation awards. AE50 Award winners who plan to exhibit at AG CONNECT Expo & Summit 2013 will automatically be considered for a limited number of Gold and Silver innovation awards to be presented during the show's opening ceremonies. These awards are a new level of recognition for ASABE's AE50 Awards, which recognize vital industry contributions. In addition, winners will be recognized in a video compilation shown during the awards presentation and with carpet decals placed in front of their booths at the show. A special page on the AG CONNECT Expo & Summit website will showcase the Gold and Silver award winners.

"The AE50 is the only awards program of its kind, celebrating product innovations in the areas of agricultural, food, and biological systems," said Sara Truesdale Mooney, AG CONNECT Expo & Summit show director. "High-tech applications for agriculture have never been more decisive than they are now, and having award-winning technical experts at AG CONNECT as part of AETC and in their companies' exhibits is a big plus for producers."

A panel of agricultural equipment editors from leading farm publications along with ASABE member engineers will select the recipients of the Gold and Silver awards from the previous two years of AE50 Award winners. To qualify for a Gold or Silver award, the company must be an AG CONNECT Expo & Summit 2013 exhibitor.

AG CONNECT Expo & Summit will take place January 29-31, 2013 (Preview Day January 29 by special admission), at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The event is a world-class trade show, offering not only the latest innovations, products, services and technology and access to industry experts but also quality learning and networking opportunities.
