American Seed Trade Assn (ASTA) reports:

The American Seed Trade Association's Julie Douglas, director of communications, recently announced that she will be leaving the association to move to Missouri.

Douglas, who has been with the association nearly three years, accepted a position with Farm Journal Media as managing editor of Top Producer magazine. Her last day at ASTA will be Oct. 12.

"Julie has been a strong asset to the association during the last three years," says Andy LaVigne, ASTA president and chief executive officer. "Her work ethic and determination to carry the message of the seed industry forward are to be commended and we wish her luck in her new role."

Douglas has been responsible for ASTA's communications program and served as the industry spokesperson.

"It's been an honor to serve the seed industry and ASTA's members," Douglas says. "The association is making great strides and I know the staff will continue working hard to increase awareness of the association and carry the message of the seed industry."
