The Context Network has welcomed Jim Zarndt of Modesto, California. Zarndt will serve clients of the global food and agribusiness management consulting firm as a Senior Associate. A seasoned agribusiness professional, Zarndt brings twenty-one years of executive leadership and management expertise to the team.

Context Partner, Mike Borel said, "We are very pleased to welcome Jim to our network. Jim has in-depth experience both in business and in technical aspects of row crop and vegetable seed development/commercialization.

He is well recognized for his abilities to successfully bring clarity and direction to large challenges. His strong communication and leadership skills complement his business acumen. We are confident Jim will serve our clients well on the West Coast and across the globe."

While at Monsanto, Zarndt provided leadership as Director, Americas Consumer Benefits and Chain Management and as a member of the Americas Vegetable Commercial Leadership Team. He held leadership roles as a Director of Worldwide Operational Marketing, and in corn biotechnology, corn rootworm, and seed technology product management. In addition, he served as Marketing Manager in the dairy business.

Borel added, "Jim has negotiated multiple product development collaborations with multinational food and produce companies. His skills include virtual team building, managing biotechnology product launches, and development and deployment of differential pricing models. We look forward to engaging his expertise in developing frameworks for better understanding and communicating with consumers."

Zarndt said, "For many years, I have been well aware of Context and have always admired their ability to assemble teams, and help develop and implement resourceful strategies for their clients. I am passionate about contributing my skills toward our clients' initiatives.

A resident of Modesto, California, Zarndt holds a Master of Management (MBA) degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Dairy Science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
