Fiscal year 2013 was a very gratifying year for your S&W Seed Company. Our management team continued to make solid progress in advancing our flagship S&W alfalfa "non-dormant" alfalfa seed varieties, expanding non-GMO seed production in Imperial Valley and Australia, developing proprietary GMO capability in conjunction with Monsanto and FGI, and making headway with "dormant" alfalfa.

Despite the disappointing setback with our commercial stevia production program in May, our breeding program continues undeterred. Because of this breeding program, we remain optimistic that our bet on stevia will pay off for our fellow shareholders.

However, the undisputed highlight of fiscal 2013 is our achievement in multiplying the size of our company several fold, through the remarkable success of our acquisition strategy.

Back in early 2012 we "put out the word" by announcing publicly and to the industry that we planned to aggressively pursue an acquisition strategy. We followed up shortly thereafter by consolidating our international distributor, Genetics International.

However, in fiscal 2013 we truly proved we can "walk the walk," when we made two major acquisitions, Seed Genetics International, or "SGI", based in Adelaide, Australia; and Imperial Valley Seeds, or "IVS", based in the Imperial Valley of California.

Our teaming up with these two industry leading companies, coupled with solid progress in our historical S&W brand alfalfa business, meant that S&W Seed Company exited Fiscal 2013 as the undisputed market leader in supplying "non-dormant" alfalfa seed to the world.
