The National FFA Foundation announces the following appointments to its current board of trustees:

Lexington, Ky., resident Russ Green has been named chairman of the board. He is national account sales manager with AGCO Corp. based in Atlanta, Ga.

Oregon resident Elin Miller has been named chairwoman-elect of the board. She is principal of Elin Miller Consulting and serves as chairwoman of Marrone Bio Innovations; chairwoman of the Umpqua Community College's board of trustees, vice chairwoman of Vestaron Board; chairwoman of NeighborWorks Umpqua and a regional board member serving Umpqua Bank.

Washington resident Jodi Monroe has been named secretary of the board. As executive director of the Washington FFA Association since 2008, she oversees day-to-day operations of FFA throughout the state and manages the annual state FFA convention and the state FFA officer team.

Wisconsin resident Cheryl Zimmerman has been named National Association of Supervisors of Agricultural Education representative on the board. As executive director of the Wisconsin FFA Association, she is responsible for supervising and coaching state FFA officers and planning and coordinating state FFA events and programs.

Parker Bane, an agriculture teacher and FFA advisor at Pontiac Township High School in Pontiac, Ill., has been named National Association of Agricultural Educators representative on the board.

Illinois resident Jim McCray has been named FFA Alumni representative on the board. He owns McPride Builders, a family construction business in east central Illinois, and has served as a member and management committee chairman for the Iroquois County board of directors.

National Council of Farmer Cooperatives President Chuck Conner has been named an at-large representative on the board. An Indiana resident, he is a former U.S. deputy secretary of agriculture and previously served on the National Economic Council as a special assistant to the president for agricultural trade and food assistance.

Kip Tom of Indiana has been named at-large representative on the board. He is a managing member of Tom Farms and president of CereServ. In addition to being active in agribusiness operations in Indiana for the past 40 years, Tom has served as a crop production consultant for various companies in Argentina, Brazil and Chile.

Sara Wyant of Missouri has been named at-large representative on the board. She is president of Agri-Pulse Communications, a communications firm with offices in Washington, D.C., and Camdenton, Mo.

Bart Gill has been named American Association of Agricultural Educators representative on the board; he is an assistant professor of agriculture technology management and agriculture education at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Ill.

The National FFA Foundation is the fundraising arm of the National FFA Organization, which provides leadership, personal growth and career success training through agricultural education to 579,678 student members in grades seven through 12 who belong to one of 7,570 local FFA chapters throughout the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
