The date is set for RFD-TV's THE AMERICAN presented by Polaris Ranger next year.

The Rural Media Group announced Wednesday the world's richest one-day rodeo take place March 1, 2015.

Randy Bernard, president and CEO of Rural Media Group says earlier this year, the inaugural THE AMERICAN set the standard very high, but organizers are ready to raise the bar.

"Well, the first AMERICAN was a huge success on every front for us. One of the biggest things that we wanted to do was bring credibility to the western world that RFD-TV was serious about helping the sport grow. And by adding $2 million in one day, I think we did a really good job with that.

"The second thing was just helping the sport grow and reinvigorating youth to wanting to be in the rodeo world. Every single one of our fronts, we did exactly what we wanted to. And the response was fantastic and we just think it could be one of the biggest events in the United States and we're very proud of it," said Bernard.

The rodeo will return to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Be sure to tune in Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET for a special "Road to the American."

Bernard will join host Justin McKee, along with several other very special guests, including 2014 winner Richmond Champion and tie-down roper Tyson Durfey.
