FLM+, a strategic consulting, marketing and communications company announces the opening of Asurgo, an FLM+ company, headquartered in Indianapolis, Ind., and FLM+ Public Affairs, headquartered in Washington, D.C. Both new groups will focus on serving the business of agriculture and life of rural communities.

"The establishment of these two new groups is a logical step in the evolution of the FLM+ brand. As we have grown, we have increased the amount of work we are doing in both strategic consulting and public affairs," says Rob McClelland, FLM+ president/CEO.

He adds, "Asurgo can build upon the significant C-level office and channel work we are already doing in sales force development and strategic planning. We are honored to add David Parker to our team and know his reputation and success in the marketplace will be a valuable addition to our company. Our public affairs growth has come not only from inside the Beltway in D.C. but from regional, state and local issues management success stories as well. All of our clients will benefit from this strengthened commitment to shaping opinions and monitoring policy on all levels."

Asurgo is a strategic organizational development, learning services and consulting group. David Ash is named president of the new group and David Parker joins as executive vice president. Ash will continue to serve as a senior vice president of FLM+. He joined FLM+ in 2011 and serves as functional lead for current FLM+ consulting, learning services and strategic planning services.

Parker has spent his 35-year career helping individuals and organizations improve performance. Prior to joining Asurgo, he was an original management team member of ABG/Adayana. Specializing in sales and marketing, financial management, value-based solutions and branding initiatives, his focus is on the people side of the business.

He is a nationally known speaker and facilitator, having delivered over 2,500 presentations and consulted with small, large and Fortune 500 companies.

Parker is a native of central Indiana, where he grew up on a still-active grain and livestock farm. He holds a degree in agricultural economics from Purdue University and currently serves as vice chairman of the Purdue Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Additionally, David is an active alumnus of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, serving in leadership roles both locally and nationally. He and his wife, Ann, will continue to reside in Las Vegas, Nev.

Leading FLM+ Public Affairs are current FLM+ team members Thomas Gahm, senior vice president, and Lisa Smith, vice president. The new Public Affairs group helps organizations develop strategic positions and shape opinions on issues important to their stakeholders.
