Fine Americas, Inc. (Fine), a leading manufacturer and marketer of plant growth regulators, proudly announces that Kevin Forney has been awarded the Outstanding Industry Scientist Award by the American Society of Horticultural Science (ASHA). Forney currently serves as the company's technical services manager.

"All of us at Fine Americas are extremely proud of Kevin for receiving this prestigious honor," noted Greg Johnson, Fine's President. "In addition to contributing to our company's significant growth over the past decade, Kevin has worked tirelessly to educate our distribution partners and growers about the many benefits of Fine's plant growth regulators.

He's a true professional with an outstanding reputation among his industry peers." In his role as technical services manager, Forney's responsibilities include providing technical direction to Fine Americas' management team concerning current and potential new product development in the Western Hemisphere Americas; implementing necessary steps for product introductions and technical support; and acting as the primary point of contact and solution provider for internal and external inquiries regarding the technical performance of Fine Americas' plant growth regulators.

Forney's professional career spans over 30 years in technical services and product development with several major agri-business companies, including Arysta Life Science Corporation, Delta and Pine Land Company, American Cyanamid Company and Valent USA Corporation. He holds a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Sciences from California State University, Fresno.

"It goes without saying that I feel very honored to receive this award," Forney noted. "Of course, it wouldn't have been possible without the tremendous support I've received from my colleagues at Fine Americas as well as my family. I owe a great deal to those who have helped me along the way."
