Pendleton Grain Growers, Inc. (PGG), has entered into negations to sell the ag supply retail stores located in Joseph, Hermiston and Island City, Ore. The cooperative did not receive offers on the remaining three stores or the Pendleton Automotive Service Center (PASC).

These changes reflect the cooperatives' restructuring to provide more resources to its core businesses. "We are optimistic about the opportunities provided by the restructuring of PGG," said Tim Hawkins, Chairman of the Pendleton Grain Growers, Inc., Board of Directors.

"The board understands the impact that exiting the three locations and the Pendleton Automotive Service Center will have on our members, employees and communities. "

PGG will begin inventory clearance sales at the Athena, Milton-Freewater and Pendleton locations on August 15. These three locations will be the only stores offering inventory clearance sales.

The final date of business for the PGG AG Supply stores is still to be determined, but will occur in early September. The last day of operation for the PASC is August 15.

Pendleton Grain Growers, Inc. is a member-owned agricultural cooperative proudly rooted in its history of serving the communities of eastern Oregon and Washington. Since the cooperative's founding over 80 years ago, PGG has continually worked to deliver our members and communities a superior network of agricultural products and services. Together, PGG will provide its members and the communities the resources to cultivate the future.
