YieldMetrix map patterns continue to support USDA's corn and soybean forecasts for higher than normal, and in some cases record breaking yields. The Central and much of the Norther Great Plains shown better than normal growth. Potential record breaking growth patterns can be seen in many major corn production areas. Drier conditions have prevailed in the western abutting corners of South and North Dakota, and the eastern Midwest. The south central and eastern states have been impacted by drier conditions, but review at a more detailed levels reveal mixed patterns of above and below normal plant growth. YieldMetrix will be monitoring on a weekly basis how the crops finish as they move towards maturity.
