Source: Carbon Media Group news release

Carbon Media Group, the largest producer of digital content for those who live, work and play outdoors with a network of more than 500 websites, announced the acquisition of 36 digital properties from San Marcos, Texas-based Group Builder, a company focused on building and fostering online communities. Hyaat Chaudhary, CEO of Carbon Media Group, made the announcement.

The acquisition continues to build upon Carbon Media Group's clear leadership in the digital media and content creation space for outdoor enthusiasts.

The largest website in the acquisition is Homesteading Today (www.homesteadingtoday.com), a digital community focused on providing information, tips and best practices for creating a lifestyle of self-sufficiency, with topics including agriculture, livestock, country living, homemaking and more. The website boasts nearly 48,000 active participants and reaches more than 750,000 unique visitors each month.

"Carbon Media Group is committed to creating, curating and sharing the most compelling content for a wide variety of outdoor enthusiasts," said Chaudhary. "From fishers to farmers, this acquisition further enhances our position as the leading provider of digital content focused on the outdoors, action sports and agriculture."

Carbon Media Group is the world's largest digital media property focused on creating and sharing content for a wide variety of outdoors activities, reaching more than 22 million unique visitors a month according to ComScore. This makes Carbon Media Group a top 20 sports property in North America-a distinction shared with high-profile sports networks such as ESPN, Yahoo! Sports and Bleacher Report.

In addition to their expansive network of digital properties, Carbon Media Group works with national brands-from consumer giants such as Chevrolet, Energizer, Michelin, and The Home Depot to AGCO, BASF, Bayer CropScience, DuPont, John Deere, Monsanto, and Syngenta in agriculture-to create innovative digital advertising campaigns tailored towards its audience.
