FARM BUREAU HONORS TEN TEACHERS FOR PROMOTING AGRICULTURAL LITERACY

Ten teachers have been recognized by the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture for their outstanding efforts to promote agricultural literacy. The teachers each received $1500 scholarships to attend the National Agriculture in the Classroom Conference in Baltimore, MD, in June. The Foundation, through the White-Reinhardt Fund for Education, sponsored the scholarships in cooperation with the AFB Women's Leadership Committee.

This year's recipients are: Patrick Ryan, Trailside Elementary, Anchorage, AK; Linda Bush, Tri-County Christian School, Freeport, IL; Theresa Pierce, Horizons Unlimited Supplementary Education Center, Granite Quarry, NC; Cheryl Bombenger, Holy Spirit Elementary School, Fargo, ND; Jo Conrad, Dodge Public School, West Point, NE; Theodore Kryzak, Riverside School, Milton Mills, NH; Audrey Harmon, Morrison Elementary, Perry, OK; Beth Reynolds, Robert E. Cashion Elementary, Piedmont, SC; Dinah Armour, Fayette Academy, Somerville TN; and Andrea Schoenfeld, Naples Elementary, Tridell, UT.
