Jul. 12, 2016 Source: HighQuest news release Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey will be the guest speaker at the inaugural Des Moines Ag Club luncheon, which will be held Tuesday, August 2 at the Des Moines Embassy Club. The Des Moines Ag Club is hosted by HighQuest Group, an agribusiness consulting, event and media firm, and sponsored by Faegre Baker Daniels, an international law firm with a strong presence in Des Moines. The Ag Club seeks to bring together agribusiness and ag investing market participants to network, discuss important trends, and promote business success among regional stakeholders in cities from coast to coast. "After receiving many requests to do so, we are now holding our first Ag Club meeting in Des Moines," said Ag Club Director Susan Mellinger. "Our purpose is to help build local relationships, learn from interesting speakers, foster business growth, and encourage collaboration throughout the industry. We are very fortunate to have Secretary Northey as our guest speaker, and we believe many Iowans will be interested in hearing what he has to say." Northey, who will present Agriculture Overview and Outlook, was reelected to his third term in November of 2014, winning with 62 percent of the vote and receiving more votes than any other candidate in the state. As secretary, Northey has committed to traveling to each of Iowa's 99 counties every year to hear from farmers and rural residents with a stake in the future of agriculture. The luncheon runs from noon to 2 p.m., with networking until 12:30 p.m., followed by lunch/speaker. The Des Moines Embassy Club is located at The Ruan Center at 7th and Grand Avenue. Registration is $55 per person and is requested by Tuesday, July 26. For more information click here. Tweet |
