SO. DAKOTA GOVERNOR ISSUES STATE OF EMERGENCY Jun. 19, 2017
Red River Farm Network reports:
South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard has issued a state of emergency for drought conditions. Daugaard says the state will ease haying and transportation restrictions to assist farmers and ranchers.
"We're allowing ag producers to transport hay across the state. We're also allowing oversized loads so that people can load large amounts of hay. Special permits will be available at no charge to those who wish to bring oversized loads to state highways. The declaration also opens up state highways for haying."
