HANNAH PAGEL JOINS AGRI-PULSE AS ASSOCIATE EDITOR
Agri-Pulse reports:

Hannah Pagel will join the Agri-Pulse editorial team in Washington, D.C. as an associate editor, handling writing and broadcast duties.

"I am extremely pleased to have another energetic and talented communicator with a science-based background join our staff," says Editor Sara Wyant. "Hannah has a unique understanding of many crucial issues facing farmers and ranchers."

Pagel grew up on her family's diversified grain and livestock farm in northeast Iowa. While studying at Iowa State University, she participated in an extensive CRISPR/Cas9 research project and conducted research on Iowa water quality issues.

In December, she will graduate with distinction from Iowa State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree. At ISU, she studied Agriculture and Life Sciences Education. Her background includes work at the Council for Agricultural Science and Technology, the Agricultural Entrepreneurship Initiative and the Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation.

Over the past year, Pagel has worked in communications and marketing at Ag News Daily and as an agricultural instructor at Union Community School District in La Porte City, Iowa. She will start her work for Agri-Pulse on January 14.

Pagel is a member of Agriculture Future of America, student National Agri-Marketing Association and Agriculture Communicators of Tomorrow. She is a recipient of the FFA American Degree, the Bruce Rastetter Agricultural Entrepreneurial Scholarship and a two-time winner of the Ryan Hrubes National Agri-Marketing Association Scholarship.
