NAT'L CATTLEMEN'S BEEF ASSN ADDS GREEN NEW DEAL TO ITS POLICY PRIORITY LIST

National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA) reports:
With debate over cattle and sustainability showing no signs of abating, NCBA updated the 2019 Policy Priorities to include the Green New Deal.
The policy goal: Oppose the Green New Deal and combat misguided climate change policies that unfairly target producers.
Back it up: Plenty of scientific research demonstrates the positive role that cattle and beef play in a sustainable food system. A new USDA study released this week also found that beef cattle production is "not a significant contributor to long-term global warming."
