USDA TO MOVE UP DATE TO HAY, GRAZE PREVENT PLANT ACRES
Agri-Pulse reports:

USDA has agreed to move up the date that farmers can start haying and grazing on cover crops they grow on prevent-plant acres this year, a source says.

The normal date for farmers who make prevent-plant claims on crop insurance is Nov. 1. The new date for this year only will be Sept. 1, the source says.

An announcement of the change is expected today.
