Jul. 26, 2019 Source: NASDA news release The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is pleased to announce the hiring of Max Moncaster as Associate Director, Public Policy. Moncaster will lead NASDA's engagement on international trade, domestic marketing, and natural resources policy issues. Moncaster's first day with NASDA is today, July 22. "Trade is critical to the vitality of U.S. agriculture. With the ratification of the USMCA looming in Congress, and dialogues around bilateral agreements, there will be no shortage of opportunities for me to advance NASDA's mission," said Moncaster. "NASDA Members are the voice of agriculture in their states, I look forward to representing them on critical agricultural policy priorities." Moncaster most recently served as the Director of Policy Communications at the National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA). Prior to NCBA, Max worked at Deloitte Consulting developing advocacy and appropriations strategy for federal government clients. He also worked for the Minister of International Trade in Canada. Sara Arsenault is being promoted to Manager of Public Policy. Arsenault has led NASDA's meetings and partner's program, developing content for meetings and enhancing NASDA's engagement with partners. Arsenault has a bachelor's in Animal and Meat Science from Texas A&M University and will lead NASDA's engagement on animal agriculture issues. Amanda Culp is being promoted to Director, Communications and Events and will lead both communications and the execution of the NASDA Annual Meeting, Winter Policy Conference, and other events. Culp has been Director, Communications for six years and has been employed by NASDA for over eight years. Molly Quirk is being promoted to Manager, Partnerships and Finance and will lead NASDA's Partners Program engagement and continued financial management.
