MICHIGAN AG INFORMATION RADIO NETWORK ANNOUNCES NAME CHANGE AND NEW LOGO Aug. 7, 2019
Source: Hoosier Ag Today Radio Network news release
The Michigan Ag Information Network, a division of Hoosier Ag Today, LLC, has announced a name change effective August 5. The 16 station network serving Michigan agriculture will now be known as Michigan Ag Today. "We feel the name better reflects the timely and relevant content that is contained in our daily broadcasts," said Gary Truitt, network president. "The new name also represents the synergistic relationship between the Indiana and Michigan operations."
MAIN was founded in 2016 by well-known, farm broadcaster Pat Driscoll and was acquired by HAT in May of 2019. At that time, a new editorial approach and broadcast team made significant changes in program content to better serve the Michigan ag industry with timely news, markets, and weather information. On August 1, Ashley Davenport joined the team as a full-time, Michigan-based, farm broadcaster.
A new logo, designed by Blank Page of Indianapolis, has also been unveiled. The graphic will be used on the newly-designed, web portal and soon-to-be-launched, social media channels. An extensive promotional and advertising campaign has been implemented to make Michigan farmers and agribusinesses aware of the change.
