HIGHLIGHTS FROM FARM PROGRESS SHOW, HUSKER HARVEST DAYS

Farm Progress reports:
Farm Progress recently concluded its Farm Progress Show, the nation's largest producer-attended outdoor agriculture event, and Husker Harvest Days, the World's Largest Totally Irrigated Working Farm Show, and hosted significant key producer attendance despite the challenging year for the U.S. ag economy.
"Our events always attract and serve quality producers and exhibitors," said Don Tourte, Farm Progress sr. vice president. "This year's Farm Progress Show and Husker Harvest Days hosted excellent visitor attendance - with attendance growth at both shows. Exhibitors at each event were very pleased and enthusiastic about the farmers and ranchers they had one-on-one opportunities with to demonstrate their products and impact them with their marketing messaging. For Husker Harvest Days, our recent $7.5 million investment in site upgrades gave visitors and exhibitors an even more enjoyable experience and easier show access."
These two impressive fall shows drew attendees with the most desirable demographic profiles from more than 45 countries and nearly every state. The events hosted national, regional and local dignitaries, country music stars, NASCAR drivers and more. Dignitaries at Farm Progress Show included a session on the Hospitality Building stage with U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue, with a call-in from President Donald Trump.
Beyond the glitter, Farm Progress Show and Husker Harvest Days set the pace for world class farm events and exhibitors know the ROI these marketing opportunities deliver. Additionally, both events are recognized as the largest net square footage tradeshows in the U.S. by TSNN. Farm Progress Show also hosts the nation's largest gathering of ag media, including a roundtable hosted by The Wall Street Journal.
The industry's largest manufacturers and suppliers use these events for their new product introductions. Visitors attend to see the latest ag technology and products and to talk with exhibitors' product specialists and techs to learn more than what can be seen through their local dealers or in advertising and websites. The events provide producers access to products they use and are considering for their operations.
Live-action demos are show mainstays. Several interactive elements include areas for ride and drive demonstrations of trucks and side-by-side utility vehicles and mowers, combine corn harvesting, and precision tools, tillage, autonomous equipment and tractor, and tiling field demonstrations. Additionally, Husker Harvest Days demonstrations include hay harvesting equipment demonstrations, irrigation equipment and livestock handling equipment.
The shows are designed to bring farmers and ranchers ideas and inspiration to move towards greater productivity and profitability. The latest technology, equipment and management practices are a big part of what draws farmers and ranchers to the shows each year.
