U.S. TRACTOR SALES UP 34% IN JULY, COMBINE SALES UP 34%

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," the sale of all tractors in the U.S. in 2020, were up 34% in July compared to 2019.

For the year, a total of 171,537 tractors were sold which compares to 150,416 sold in 2019 representing a 14% increase.

For the month of July, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were up 40% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were up 28%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 4%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were down 21%.

For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are up 17% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are up 10%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are down 2%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are down 13%.

Combine sales were up 34% for the month. Sales of combines for the year totaled 2,614 compared to 2,510 in 2019, a 4% increase.
