PROMINENT AG ECONOMIST ISSUES BULLISH FORECAST Dec. 15, 2020
Red River Farm Network reports:
AgResource Company President Dan Basse provided an optimistic view during the American Seed Trade Association Expo.
"In my 40 years in the business, I've never seen a change as dramatic as we had in August and September." Strong Chinese demand and crop losses around the world combined to give corn and soybean prices a boost.
Going into 2021, Basse is focused on planting intentions. "We need to have an arm wrestle with the farmer for acreage because next year we need American farmers to plant a record 90.5 million acres of soybeans just to keep stocks at a minimum level."
