USDA RELEASES "HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE FEBRUARY 2021 FARM INCOME FORECAST" REPORT

Farm sector profits are forecast to decrease in 2021. Net farm income, a broad measure of profits, is forecast at $111.4 billion in 2021, down $9.8 billion (8.1 percent) from 2020 in nominal terms. Net cash farm income is forecast at $128.3 billion, down $7.9 billion (5.8 percent). Median income of farm households is forecast to be relatively unchanged at $86,917 in 2021.
