FLORIDA STRENGTHENS ITS RIGHT TO FARM LEGISLATION
Source: Florida Farm Bureau Federation news release

Gainesville, FL - "On behalf of Florida's farmers and ranchers, the Florida Farm Bureau Federation applauds Governor DeSantis and the Florida Legislature for their support of Florida's Right to Farm legislation.

Strengthening Florida's Right to Farm law minimizes nuisance lawsuits and claims, enabling farmers to focus on the mission of providing food and remaining in business. Across the state, more than 47,000 family farms are committed to growing the food that we need to survive."

The Right to Farm bill signing ceremony included Florida farmers, Florida Farm Bureau President John L. Hoblick, Senate President Wilton Simpson and bill sponsors, Sen. Jason Brodeur and Rep. Jayer Williamson, highlighting the strong bipartisan support of SB 88.

The Right to Farm bill will take effect July 1, 2021.

Florida Farm Bureau, the state's largest general agricultural organization, represents more than 137,000 member-families. We serve to enhance farm enterprise and improve rural communities.
