WATT GLOBAL MEDIA FEATURED IN THE NEW YORKER FOR HOW TO ACHIEVE SUSTAINABLE REMOTE WORK
Source: WATT Global Media news release

Rockford, IL - Greg Watt, President/CEO of WATT Global Media, highlighted the direct relevance and benefits of the company's unique Results-Only Work Environment (ROWE) culture in the prestigious publication, The New Yorker, in an article focused on an issue numerous companies are grappling with today, figuring out how the post-pandemic workplace will function.

ROWE is a management philosophy where each employee is autonomous and accountable for accomplishing goals that drive results. Employees are not required to report to a centralized office because work is defined as "what you do, not where you go." Therefore, as long as work is completed and measurable results are met, employees can decide how, when and where they work.

WATT Global Media, a fourth-generation family-owned business based in Rockford, Illinois is a business to business media company focused on the agrifood and pet food industries. After making the transition to a ROWE in 2012, the business was well-positioned to largely maintain normal operations throughout the worldwide shutdowns and many months office closures during and after the pandemic.

"We went about our business as before, because everyone was already allowed to work from wherever they felt they were most productive." says Watt as quoted in the New Yorker article.

At WATT Global Media, employees work with established goals and performance is measured by results. Managers function as "result coaches" when supporting and reviewing progress.

Since the start of ROWE, WATT Global Media has achieved increases in its ability to recruit and retain highly qualified and experienced staff worldwide. This has led to the addition of newly created positions now filled by media experts and thought-leaders located across the U.S.
