Nov. 1, 2021 Source: National Sorghum Producers The framework includes, among other things: *funding for universal preschool (3 and 4 year olds) for 6 years; *increased Affordable Care Act subsidies through 2025; *expanded Medicaid benefits through 2025 to people in states that did not elect to expand the program; *expanded Medicare to include hearing benefits; *$555 billion for climate related provisions (largely tax incentives); *coverage of childcare costs for those meeting income eligibility requirements; *increased funding for public housing; *expanded free school meals; *a one-year extension of child tax credits; and *$100 billion set aside to offer "parole" to undocumented persons living in the United States so they may remain in the U.S. and also work here, but this is the Democrats' plan C on immigration and remains subject to Byrd Rule scrutiny which has already felled Plans A and B. This last program has been assailed for proposing to pay $450,000 per person to undocumented persons which, if true, probably means it will face stronger headwinds from lawmakers than any the parliamentarian can generate.
