Washington, D.C. - Today, NAWG welcomes Taylor Williamson as the new Government Relations Representative. Williamson has an extensive background in both policy and agriculture. Before moving into policy, he spent many years working on Williamson Farm, which gave him firsthand experience on how policies and practices impacted the family operation.

He has worked in the Office of Agriculture Policy at the Department of State and most recently as the Director of Government Affairs for the Kansas Association of Wheat Growers and the Kansas Wheat Commission. Williamson's most recent role in Kansas brings a fundamental understanding of the policy issues and challenges wheat growers face, and a vital understanding of NAWG.

"We are excited to welcome Taylor to our team," said NAWG CEO, Chandler Goule. "His background in both the agriculture and policy aspect will make him a great fit for this role."

Taylor will hold a key role in the development of NAWG policy projects along with other organizational duties.

"I'm very excited for the opportunity to get started with the National Association of Wheat Growers. I've had the privilege of working for wheat growers at the state level and can't wait to continue that work nationally," said Taylor Williamson. "NAWG is an excellent organization that plays a vital role in ag policy and I'm very excited to join the team."
