U.S. APRIL TRACTOR SALES DOWN 22%; COMBINE SALES DOWN 6% May 11, 2022 Agri Marketing magazine reports: According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," the sale of all tractors during April 2022 in the U.S. were down 22% from the same month last year. In April, a total of 31,587 tractors were sold which compares to 40,669 sold in 2021 - a 22% decrease. For the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 25% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 19%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 3%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were down 21%. For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are down 17% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are down 11%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are up 10%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are down 8%. Combine sales were down 15% in the month.
