"Carah has a passion for agriculture and great journalism," says Cyndi Young, Director of Brownfield & Ag Operations. "Her integrity and enthusiasm make her the perfect addition to the Brownfield team of farm broadcasters." A north-central Missouri native, Carah graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor's degree in agricultural journalism in 2012. She interned with Brownfield while attending Mizzou. After graduating, Carah worked in agricultural communications for national, state, and regional checkoff programs. In 2015, she returned to broadcast news, joining the Red River Farm Network in Grand Forks, North Dakota. While at the Red River Farm Network, Carah reported agriculture's business for twenty-one radio stations across North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota. Carah is the current National Vice President for the National Association of Farm Broadcasting. She is the recipient of the 2018 NAFB Horizon Award, recognition for outstanding performance and promise in the farm broadcasting industry. She is a former NAFB scholarship recipient. Carah also enjoys working with the future of agriculture. She was a member of 4-H and the National FFA Organization. She has an Honorary FFA Degree from the North Dakota FFA. In her spare time, Carah enjoys biking, antiquing, and spending time with family at the farm or the lake in northern Minnesota. She is a Kansas City Royals and Mizzou Tigers fan.
