AG STOCK INDEX SIGNIFICANTLY OUTPERFORMS GENERAL MARKET IN 2022

During 2022, Agri Marketing's Ag Stock Index finished the year up 15%. That compares to the Dow Jones Industrial Index down 9%, S&P 500 down 19% and NASDAQ down 33%.

The Agri Marketing Ag Stock Index is composed of a portfolio of 29 publicly traded companies with significant agricultural interests.

Since its inception on January 1, 2006, the Agri Marketing Ag Stock Index has gained 180%. That compares to the Dow's gain of 194%, the S&P 500's gain of 21% and NASDAQ's gain of 303%.

The Ag Stock Index's five largest gainers in 2022 were:

1. ADM (grain processing) +40%

2. Valmont Industries (irrigation) +33%

3. American Vanguard (crop protection) +33%

4. Deere & Co. (machinery) +26%

5. Corteva (crop protection, seed) +25%

Those posting the largest losses were:

1. Elanco (animal health) (57%)

2. Art's Way Mfrg (machinery) (45%)

3. Trimble (equipment) (42%)

4. Zoetis (animal health) (39%)

5. Buhler Industries (machinery) (35%)

Other notables:

AGCO (farm machinery) +24%

BASF (crop protection, seed) (26%)

CNH Industrial (machinery) (3%)

FNC (crop protection) +15%

Nutrien (plant nutrients, crop input retailer) even
