Apr. 24, 2023 Source: Farmers Business Network Dear Lynn, You've probably heard a lot about Artificial Intelligence lately. It is perhaps the biggest advancement in computing since the smartphone. We've been experimenting with creating the first Artificial Intelligence (AI) based ag advisor, NormSM, and invite you to test it out and experience AI directly yourself. For a demonstration click here. Norm, (named in honor of legendary agronomist, Norman Borlaug), is built upon ChatGPT and then trained on publicly available data such as product labels, weather, soil monitoring, application rates, current events, university research, and grower commentary - as well as FBN's unique store and data feeds. You can use Norm to ask a vast array of agronomic, chemical, farm business, animal health, and product usage questions. Norm is an experiment, and still developing and improving daily as it learns. Sometimes Norm can get things wrong. Help us discover Norm's limitations, strengths and wildest responses. The more feedback you give Norm, the better Norm will get at answering your questions. Some of the things you can ask Norm: • Chemical, crop health, disease, and pest information and treatments • Machinery problem diagnostics and even parts lookups • Agronomic, soil and fertility information and equations • Solving tough conversion math problems for chemicals, fertilizers, equipment and logistics Unlike search engines, have a conversation with Norm in normal language, so be sure to ask follow up questions! To view how to Write Prompts for Norm click here. To view Frequently Asked Questions . We don't think Norm will ever replace your agronomist or other advisors, but in the future Norm will be a valuable tool accelerating your access to agronomic knowledge and decision making. Tweet |
