May 10, 2023 Source: Conservation Technology Information Center Join us in Frankenmuth, Michigan, July 10-11, for the 16th annual Conservation in Action Tour! This year's tour theme, Experiencing Conservation in Supply Chains, will help connect the circle from farmer to consumer. Attendees can look forward to seeing the supply chain up close and personal, including cutting edge dairy practices, specialty crops like sugar beets and dry beans, milling and processing, and more! NEW this year: a social for the next generation of conservation agriculture champions! Bring a young colleague, the new person in the office, an intern or a student. After all, the future of conservation agriculture is about more than crops: it's about people, too. Another new addition to the 2023 Conservation in Action Tour is two unique, optional experiences on Monday, July 10, 2023. Attendees will have the chance to choose between the following sites which are limited to the first 32 sign-ups: · Following professionals from Star of the West through 3 of their mills, discussing the conservation, farming, and consumer angles every step of the way. · An inside look at the Cass River Restoration Project. Located in the heart of Frankenmuth, at the Cass River Dam, Frankenmuth's Fish Passage project reconnects the fish of the Saginaw Bay to more than 73 miles of historically significant spawning areas. Online registration for the tour is quick and easy at https://www.ctic.org/tourregistration. The registration fee includes all tour activities, bus transportation and meals. Regular registration ends on June 19, registrations after June 19th will be subjected to a late fee. A limited number of rooms are being held in a Conservation in Action Tour reservation block at the Bavarian Inn Lodge in Frankenmuth at a special tour rate for July 10 & 11. The registration web page includes a link for online booking of rooms at the discount rate. The tour and celebration also offer sponsorship opportunities--high-visibility events with engaged participants, great speakers representing the agriculture industry, the research community and government sector, as well as national publicity. Sponsoring the program is also a great way to support CTIC's future. For details on sponsorship, contact Ryan Heiniger at heiniger@ctic.org. Tweet |
