ADRIENNE HELD, KAREN JONES JOIN SUCCESSFUL FARMING'S EDITORIAL TEAM
Source: Successful Farming news release

Successful Farming is excited to announce two additions to its editorial staff: Adrienne Held as the agronomy executive editor and Karen Jones as the machinery executive editor.

Adrienne Held
"Farmers trust Successful Farming to provide practical information that they can use on their operation today -- whether that's sound agronomic advice or timely updates on the machinery market," says Jessie Scott, Successful Farming editor in chief.

"Adrienne and Karen bring a combined 40 years of experience to the team doing just that. Plus, they both have the added bonus of living on farms, where they can experience first-hand the day-to-day challenges farmers face."

Prior to joining Successful Farming as the agronomy executive editor, Held worked for Purdue Extension as an agricultural and natural resources educator and Bayer Crop Sciences as an agronomic and information specialist and technical editor. She has a bachelor's degree in crop sciences and a master's in crop and soil sciences.

Held grew up in northern Illinois and developed a love of agriculture on her grandparent's farm. Today, she resides in Santa Claus, Indiana, on her husband's family farm where they raise corn, soybeans, wheat, Angus cattle, specialty crops, and a menagerie of farm animals.

"It's exciting to be a part of the Successful Farming team, and our rich history of timely and dependable coverage of the ag industry," says Held. "I look forward to continuing the support of farmers through agronomic coverage that has an impact on their farms and families."

Karen Jones
Jones is part of the fourth generation on her family grain farm near Roanoke, Illinois, which is currently managed by her father, brother, and husband. After receiving her bachelor's in agricultural communications, Jones spent 19 years on the communications team at Growmark. She has covered a variety of agriculture topics, including machinery and technology, which will be her primary focus as the machinery executive editor at Successful Farming.

"I'm excited for the opportunity to add to the long tradition of informative, useful, and timely news Successful Farming is built upon," says Jones.
