PURDUE ANNOUNCES ITS ANNUAL TOP FARMER CONFERENCE
Source: Purdue University news release

Dr. Brad Lubben
Hear from Dr. Brad Lubben, an expert on agricultural policy and farm economics who has closely followed U.S. farm programs and Farm Bill negotiations for decades, at this year's Purdue Top Farmer Conference, January 5th. The recent extension of the current Farm Bill's provisions to next September means 2024 will be a Farm Bill year.

Lubben will discuss key points of contention in the upcoming Farm Bill debate and what to expect in new legislation. He'll also walk you through the farm program and related crop insurance decisions for 2024 now that the existing legislation's provisions have been extended.

You can choose to attend the Purdue Top Farmer Conference on January 5th either in person in West Lafayette or virtually when you register. Purdue's Top Farmer Conference brings together the nation's top economic experts to help you navigate the challenges of today's agricultural economy.

Lubben is an extension associate professor, policy specialist, and director of the North Central Extension Risk Management Education Center in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has more than 25 years of experience in teaching, research and extension, with an emphasis on ag policy and farm economics.

Lubben grew up on a grain and livestock farm near Burr, Nebraska, and holds degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Kansas State University.
