![]() May 6, 2024 National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) reports: NAMA annually holds a competition among its student chapters in which they select a product, develop a marketing plan to support it and present to a panel of judges composed of agri-marketing professionals. Products must be an agricultural product/commodity or service. This year's event was held in conjunction with NAMA's annual Conference in Kansas City, 23-24. It was the 48th year of the competition. Here are the highlights from this year's competition: •27 teams competed with 12 moving onto semi-finals •Semi-finalists were announced at the Student Luncheon on Wednesday •The 12 semi-finalists are listed below: Texas A&M Univ Univ of Tennessee-Knoxville Purdue Univ Michigan State Univ Mississippi State Univ New Mexico State Univ Univ of Saskatchewan Univ of Missouri-Columbia Kansas State Univ Univ of Guelph Iowa State Univ Univ of Nebraska-Lincoln •Finalists were announced Wednesday at the Trade show and they are: Univ of Tennessee-Knoxville Purdue Univ New Mexico State Univ Univ of Missouri-Columbia University of Guelph Iowa State Univ •Winners are: 1st place - Purdue Univ 2nd place - Univ of Guelph 3rd place - New Mexico State Univ 4th place - Univ of Tennessee-Knoxville 5th place - Univ of Missouri-Columbia 6th place - Iowa State Univ You can find pics from the marketing competition here.
