May 14, 2024 Agri Marketing magazine reports: According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," the sale of all tractors during April 2024, in the U.S. were down 10% from the same month last year. In April, a total of 25,205 tractors were sold which compares to 26,106 sold in 2023. For the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 5% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 4%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were up 7%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were up 24%. Combine sales in April totaled 601 up 7% from last year. For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are up down 13% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP are down 7%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are even, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 2%. Combine sales for the year totaled 1,804 a decrease of 13% over the same period in 2023.
