Owatonna, MN --The Linder Farm Network has announced the addition of Certified Meteorologist Cory Harguth to its staff of reporters. Harguth is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Meteorology and came to Linder from KICD radio in Spencer, Iowa. He joins Linder Farm Network farm broadcasters Lynn Ketelsen, Linda Brekke, Jeff Stewart and Ag Weather Specialist/reporter Dan Lemke.
According to Farm Director Lynn Ketelsen, "We have surveyed our farm audience in Minnesota and found the two most important issues for farmers are weather and local/regional information. They want farm reporters with emphasis on Minnesota information and weather, and that is what we do."
Ketelsen said the Harguth puts the Linder Farm Network in a unique position in the industry. "I believe we are the only ag network in the country with two weather experts on staff, and we are proud of that."
Harguth joins what is now a five reporter farm department serving Minnesota agriculture. He is a voting member of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB).
"Ketelsen added, "we will soon be celebrating 50 years serving Minnesota farmers, being creative and listening to our audience is the key to our success."
