COUNCIL FOR AG SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY RELOCATES ITS HEADQUARTERS TO IOWA STATE RESEARCH PARK
Jun. 3, 2024
by Chris Boosma, CAST CEO
It's with a mix of sadness and excitement that I share some big news. After over 30 years, CAST is moving out of its current home at 4420 West Lincoln Way, Ames, IA. This historic property has been CAST's home base since 1993, providing the foundation for CAST to grow its impact and further its vital mission.
For current and former CAST staff members, this building holds countless cherished memories--from the hum of lively meetings to quiet moments of productivity. The building's very walls seem steeped in the passionate work of CAST's staff, volunteers, and leadership over the decades. Saying goodbye to this property isn't easy.
And yet, this transition presents an incredible opportunity for CAST's future. CAST's new office at the Iowa State University Research Park will place the organization in the heart of a nexus for agricultural innovation and collaboration. With right-sized, modern facilities tailored to CAST's needs, the organization will be even better positioned to maximize our efficiency and focus fully on our mission.
While the move is bittersweet, it's truly a full-circle moment - just as our founders made the visionary decision to purchase 4420 West Lincoln Way 30 years ago, investing in CAST's ability to thrive. Today, CAST leadership is similarly looking to position CAST in a new home that propels the organization forward and allows it to fulfill its vital mission for decades to come.
CAST's last day at the current address will be June 10. From June 11 onward, you can find CAST staff at our new office at 2625 North Loop Drive, Suite 2610, Ames, IA 50014. The phone numbers and email addresses of CAST staff will remain the same during and after the transition. We'll be hosting a ribbon cutting on June 20 with the Ames Chamber of Commerce to officially unveil our new home.
Throughout this transition, the work and passion of the CAST staff remain focused on serving you and the organization's mission. We carry the legacy of 4420 West Lincoln Way forward as we now work with you, our passionate members, and volunteers, to write CAST's next chapter. Thank you for your unwavering support. We can't wait to welcome you to our new home.
