He will lead the company's audience center of excellence, which includes the editorial, broadcast, audience development, events, content studios and product development teams. Seper's career as an entrepreneurial media executive includes experience in events, local, digital and broadcast journalism and a history of delivering financial and audience success on a wide range of platforms. After MedCity News, Seper held digital general manager roles at E.W. Scripps and Nexstar Media Group, where he pioneered strategic expansions into connected TV. Seper is deeply rooted in journalism, with more than a decade as an award-winning journalist at newspapers including The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Cleveland Plain Dealer.
"Farm Journal's rich history in serving agriculture audiences and industry-leading brands attracted me to the company," Seper said. "Farm Journal is what's best about journalism today. The company sees the needs of farmers and ranchers in this country and works to serve them. I'm excited to build on the success of so many important brands."
"America's producers and food companies are facing incredible changes in prices, weather and technology," said Prescott Shibles, CEO of Farm Journal.
