USDA RELEASES HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE DECEMBER 2024 FARM INCOME FORECAST REPORT

Net farm income, a broad measure of profits, is forecast to decrease by $6.0 billion (4.1 percent) from 2023 to $140.7 billion in 2024. Net cash farm income is forecast to decrease by $1.8 billion (1.1 percent) from 2023 to $158.8 billion in 2024. Median farm household income is forecast to increase by $2,650 (2.7 percent) to $100,634 in 2024. These values are all in nominal terms.
