That compares to the Dow Jones Industrial Index up 13%, S&P 500 up 23% and NASDAQ up 29%. The Agri Marketing Ag Stock Index is composed of a portfolio of 25 publicly traded companies with significant agricultural interests. Since its inception on January 1, 2006, the Agri Marketing Ag Stock Index has gained 197%. That compares to the Dow's gain of 225%, the S&P 500's gain of 420% and NASDAQ's gain of 414%. The Ag Stock Index's five largest gainers for the full year of 2024 were: 1. Trimble (navigation equipment): +33% 2. Valmont Industries (irrigation equipment): +31% 3. Tractor Supply Co. (rural lifestyle retailer): +23% 4. Corteva Agriscience (crop protection & seed): +19% 5. CF Industries (fertilizer): +7% The five posting the largest losses: 1. American Vanguard (crop protection): -58% 2. Titan International (farm equipment dealer): -54% 3. Bayer (crop protection & seed): -43% 4.The Mosaic Co. (fertilizer): -31% 5.
