SYNGENTA'S CEO ROWE REPORTS ON HOW AI WILL CHANGE FARMING
BrownfieldAgNews reports:

The CEO of the Syngenta Group says artificial intelligence will continue to have an impact on how farmers use technology.

Jeff Rowe recently took part in the World Economic Forum.

"We're able to take images, use satellite imagery, drone imagery and be able to then analyze whether or not there's a disease or pest pressure that needs to be dealt with," he says. "It gives farmers access to use AI tools to be able to answer those questions and be able to make economically driven decisions."

Rowe says integrating new technologies could help solve some of the challenges farmers face.

"We don't have enough access to labor, automation, digital tools, new technology, precision agriculture," he says. "All of these things allow you to farm more efficiently. We have to be science driven and science led."

Rowe says technology will continue to drive productivity and sustainability to meet the growing needs of the world's population.
