HOUSE AG CHAIR PRAISES USDA'S ACTION TO PREVENT ILLEGAL ALIENS FROM ACCESSING SNAP
Source: House Committee on Agriculture

WASHINGTON, DC -- House Committee on Agriculture Chairman Glenn 'GT' Thompson (PA-15) issued the following statement praising Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins' directive enforcing eligibility restrictions for food and nutrition programs, ensuring benefits are reserved for American citizens and legal residents, not illegal aliens:

"I applaud Secretary Rollins for her leadership and commitment to upholding the rule of law. Federal nutrition programs exist to support U.S. citizens and legal residents in need, not those who have broken our laws to enter the country. By enforcing these eligibility requirements, USDA is restoring integrity to these programs and ensuring assistance goes to those it was intended to help."
