KENT CORP. CHANGES ITS NAME TO KENT WORLDWIDE

Muscatine, IA -- Kent Corp. announced a name change to reflect its growth over the nearly 100-year history of the company, which started out in 1927. One of the divisions of Kent Corp. is Kent Nutrition Group, which houses the Kent Feeds and Blue Seal animal nutrition brands.
Over the decades, Kent has grown from a single-family business into a global company, expanding across food, beverage and ingredients, agriculture and pet care, the company said in its news release. That growth has been intentional and successful and has led to taking the next step to unite the diverse businesses under one global brand: KENT WORLDWIDE.
"The name KENT WORLDWIDE carries our story forward," said Gage Kent, chairman and chief executive officer. "Since 1927, KENT WORLDWIDE has been guided by a spirit of innovation. From humble beginnings in animal nutrition to becoming a global, diversified enterprise, our journey reflects nearly a century of purposeful growth and enduring values."
The subtle change draws from the past as Kent Corp. and the original Kent Feeds name to honor the family behind it all, which still leads the company today with the same passion, ingenuity, curiosity and drive, the news release said. KENT WORLDWIDE is a symbol of the company's global presence and commitment to creating value for customers around the world as it looks toward the next 100 years.
The company highlighted the growth that's happening at KENT WORLDWIDE. A multi-year adaptive reuse project is nearly complete to restore the McKee Button Co. factory in Muscatine, Iowa, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, into offices for Consumer Brands. This fall, Kent will open a new cat litter manufacturing plant. It also has made four international acquisitions since 2018 to expand its manufacturing and marketing presence to Australia and the U.K.
