Source: Kynetec news release

Ines Kapphan
Zurich, Switzerland -- Kynetec, a global leader in agricultural and animal health market data, analytics and insights, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ines Kapphan as Chief Operating Officer for Agriculture.

Ines brings over a decade of experience in technology, data science, and digital product development within the agricultural industry. She joins Kynetec from Bayer Crop Science, where she spearheaded the development of Bayer's Data & Cloud Solutions business - launched as part of a 2021 strategic partnership with Microsoft. The platform delivers data and analytical insights derived from Bayer's proprietary models as B2B software solutions for the agri-food value chain.

"Ines brings a rare combination of deep scientific expertise, product innovation, and global agtech experience," said Peter Berweger, CEO of Kynetec. "Her leadership, passion for innovation and her vision for using data to connect every step of the agricultural value chain will bring significant value to our clients and the broader industry."

Ines's academic background includes a PhD from ETH Zurich, with research conducted at Stanford University on the impacts of climate change on agricultural production systems. She also holds a Master's in Economics from the University of Konstanz, Germany, and a Master's in Law & Public Policy from The Fletcher School, USA.

Her industry career began in Silicon Valley, where she held leadership roles in Product Management at The Climate Corporation, a Bayer subsidiary. As Head of Product, she led the global expansion of FieldView, Bayer's digital farming platform, which now reaches farmers across more than 250 million acres in over 20 countries.

"I'm excited to join Kynetec at such a pivotal time for agriculture, where we can bring data and technology together for connecting the dots from seed to shelf," said Ines Kapphan, Chief Operating Officer for Agriculture. "Across the industry, there's a growing need for actionable insights powered by data and analytics. I look forward to working with the Kynetec team to create new ways to leverage data science, as well as Generative AI technologies, to provide actionable insights and unprecedented learnings to our clients so that they can better position themselves in a dynamically changing market environment."

Ines is based in Zurich, Switzerland and joins Kynetec's Executive Committee as she takes leadership of the global Agriculture division.
